Indeed. Mirror-constructs such as “the Muslim world” are a convenient fabrication in, and of, a biowar - here and there. And I don’t for a moment regard either fundamentalist clerics or enlightenment missionaries as offering anything other than a pitch for jurisdiction, a claim for representation and hegemony. Which is why the issue of migration gets put into the mix - it’s all about border controls. You can’t make a pitch for jurisdiction if the borders aren’t in force. Party-building, I guess. But a bid for state power, or the consolidation and/or expansion of such, would be a more accurate way of putting it. So, I’ll take my chances with the not-yet counterpartisans, and aim for an exodus - a migration if you will.
